Part Four: Brand Content & Collateral
You are almost there!
How does it feel? It’s pretty exciting isn’t it!
If you are just popping in now, this is the final part of our four-part series – The Ultimate Guide to Creating a Professional Brand.
If you need to start at the beginning, check out part one here!
The final step in all of this is creating brand content and collateral, and it’s important to get a good start on this before you launch your business.
Basically, you want to be prepared. Ready and waiting, so when you get your first customer, you have everything laid out.
And boy, do you look professional!
1. Website Content and Design
Before you create your website (by whatever route you are choosing to do so), make sure you create a clear outline of the content you need on your website.
This step will probably take the longest, and honestly, you’ll probably be adjusting and perfecting this for majority of your career.
Once you have got your outline established, it’s time to start designing your website. This could be a whole blog series in itself! If you are looking to save yourself some time and money check out our 5-Day WordPress Website Academy.
Remember, keep things simple and stick to your brand design!
2. Business Cards
Business cards are a simple addition. They don’t take long to make and are relatively affordable.
If you don’t think you will be having any face-to-face interactions with potential customers, then skip this part.
But I like to always have a card on hand, since you really never know who you are going to run into.
Psst.. I will mention. There is a nice little bonus of Business Card Templates in our Instant Brand Blueprint. Talk about saving time!
3. Blog Posts
It is time to revisit the information you gathered for your target audience.
Take this info and figure out topics for blog posts that you think your audience would benefit from.
Create a posting schedule and stick with it!
It is important in the beginning to create consistency and allow your audience to know what kind of content they can expect from you, when they are going to get it!
4. Newsletter
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know how important I think an email list is!
Create an email list and start collecting email addresses for your blog or website.
It’s a direct channel to your audience and keeps them in the loop, promotes your business, and increases engagement.
But remember, make sure your newsletter template reflects the overall consistency of your brand!
5. Lead Magnet
Lead Magnets are an incentive for your audience that is offered in exchange for their email address, and they’re super valuable!
And what do you know – we’ve got a massive bundle of templates for that too! Our Lead Magnet Blueprint includes a 100+Page Lead Magnet Template Pack plus our Lead Magnet Workbook so you can find out exactly what your audience wants!
Create a lead magnet that’s relevant and beneficial to your audience. Then market it to them.
Trust me, you will really see your email list grow!
6. Social Media
Choose which social media platforms you’d like to use.
If you predict that you wouldn’t find your audience on a specific platform, then skip over that platform and focus your energy to where you know your audience already is.
Create a schedule and carry your branding and voice throughout all posts. You can also purchase or create your own Canva templates, which will save you tons of time!
The more you show up and the more engaged you are, the more you will get out of it!
Wow, that was a lot to cover.
If you’ve made it through the list, you’re in really good shape to be on track to creating a successful business!
I hope this helped you make the process a little bit more clear and easier to tackle!
Now it’s your turn to get out there and make your dreams a reality. You’ve got this!
