7 Reasons We Love Using Elementor

Hello, lovely entrepreneur!

If you’ve been around for a while, you might know that we love Elementor here at Lady Boss Studio.

Elementor is an amazing tool that we use to design beautiful and high-converting websites for our clients. And we can’t recommend it enough.

But it isn’t enough to tell you that you should be using Elementor to create your website… We also want to tell you WHY you should be using it!

Are you the sort of person who needs to see it to believe it?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Make sure to check out our video below.

1. Make sitewide design edits in seconds. [00:53]

Elementor has some pretty incredible site settings that we need to rave about.

When you’re building your website, the last thing you want is to get stuck individually editing every site setting. It’s pretty repetitive and time-consuming to have to edit the typography for every header when the settings are consistent across your site.

This is where Elementor steps in to simplify the process. Within the site settings, you can edit everything from your typography and your global colors, to your actual background. Once these settings are fixed, they will automatically apply to your website.

Best of all, if you ever want to change your branding in the future, all you’ll need to do is update the settings. Elementor will do the work for you in applying it across your website.

2. Simplify editing by copy and pasting sections and widgets. [09:33]

To further streamline your design process, Elementor allows users to duplicate sections and widgets in just a few clicks.

We know how important it is to create a beautiful design and copy that sells on your website. But we also know that it can be extremely frustrating to have to repeat steps in order to have your information appear on different web pages.

Elementor makes this step so easy by allowing you to copy and paste widgets as well as full sections of your website.

To perform this function, Windows users will just need to right-click whereas Mac users will need to hit the “Command” key and click to copy. Then, on the new page where you want to repeat the information, you’ll use the same function to paste.

Voila! You’ve easily performed a task that would likely take far longer if you were to duplicate the info manually.

3. Instantly crop an image to any size. [12:35]

Spending hundreds of dollars or countless hours of your valuable time on programs like Canva or Photoshop isn’t the most effective way to build your website.

Elementor knows this! That’s why they’ve included the option to crop your image right within the editor.

When you pull an image into Elementor, you might find that the sizing isn’t correct for your chosen template. This might negatively impact the overall design of your page.

While most people might immediately turn to a photo-editing program to crop the image and re-upload it to WordPress,

Elementor eliminates the need for the extra steps. If you click on the image and select the option to resize to custom dimensions, you’ll be able to adapt the image to fit your design.

Elementor consistently provides ways to cut down time spent on menial tasks that are holding you back. The time that would be lost to downloading and editing your image can instead be put towards more important areas of your website. Talk about a major win!

4. Easily add in a fixed or parallax background image. [14:38]

It’s common to see fixed or parallax background images in website design these days.

In fact, you’ve probably seen this feature used on a website that you navigated to recently!

You might be wondering, what is a fixed or parallax background image? It’s a scrolling effect used to create dimension to your website. While you scroll your mouse down a page, the background image remains fixed while the elements in the foreground move at the speed of your scroll.

It’s simple to achieve this effect with the Elementor editor. All you need to do is head to the style editor on your background image widget and make sure the attachment is set to “fixed”.

That’s it! Now you have a beautiful and interactive design on your website without breaking a sweat.

5. Create an anchor and scroll to a specific section on the page. [16:11]

One of the Elementor features that we love at Lady Boss Studio and even use on our own homepage is the anchor function.

This allows you to anchor or scroll to different sections on page, or even sections on different pages, with ease.

For instance, maybe you have a Call To Action button on your homepage and want the button to direct to a section lower on the page.

Elementor easily allows you to make this possible with very little effort or time at all. You don’t need expert knowledge of website design to do this!

This is a great way to lead viewers to your lead magnet opt-in page or other important sections on your webpage, while also creating a dynamic design that captivates viewers!

6. Effortlessly add motion effects to images and text. [17:52]

Motion effects are another great way to create dimension to your website design.

These effects allow you to create movement to the images and text featured on your webpage.

Elementor offers a wide variety of motion options at your fingertips which you can easily apply to your website. You can access these by clicking on any button, image, or text. The motion effects can be found under the advanced options of the style editor.

While it might be enticing to add a bunch of entrance animations to your website, you strongly advise against adding too many. Having too many animations might slow down the loading speed and overall functionality of your website.

However, the ability to play around with these different options and see what works best for you is an Elementor feature that we adore!

7. Modify the page background color in seconds. [20:46]

We discussed the ability to edit all of your site settings in one step earlier in this blog. But there might be a scenario in which you need to edit the background color of one single page. This is totally possible with Elementor!

To create a default background color for a single page, you can head to the style settings and change the background type.

By modifying this setting to apply to your website, you can conveniently change the background color with the click of a button!

As is the case with everything else we’ve talked about, Elementor makes the process of streamlining your website design incredibly simple. What’s not to love?
